SCGP IPO Roadshow Exhibition : Beating Every Challenge with “Growth Mindset”
News SCGP IPO Roadshow Exhibition BeatingEvery Challenge with “Growth Mindset” Loading Data… SCGP IPO Roadshow Exhibition has materialized impressively with its exhibition area covering more than 1,000 square meters, despite very limited time for preparations, Its success underlines scgp’s fierce determination to deliver its concepts in a tangible way. P-DNA interviews a team behind this grand exhibition to look into their work approach and mindset in the hope of bringing everyone on board scgp’s journey to become ASEAN’s total packaging solutions provider that can satisfy people of all generations. Packaging in Everyday Life The goal of SCGP IPO Roadshow is to make investors know more about SCGP or SCG Packaging Public Company Limited. “Some people may not notice that most items in our daily life are packages. Look at a cup for your coffee, a bag for your food, and boxes containing products you have ordered online. If you visit our exhibition, you will realize that SCGP has products and services that respond to consumers’ lifestyles in every aspect. “When we designed this exhibition, we applied customer centric approach like when we designed a packaging. We focused on what customers would get. Our concept is Packaging in Everyday Life + SCGP, which is ASEAN’s total packaging solutions provider that can satisfy people of all generations. Our exhibition recreates daily-life experiences, which cover commuting, working, dining, shopping, and product transportation and highlights the value people are looking for. For example, a small family uses our EzySteam for easy meals. With this packaging, microwave heating needs just two minutes and food content does not get dried out. For booming e-commerce, SCGP has various types of packaging. “Outside home, safety is keyword. We need to protect content particularly food well. When consumers step into a supermarket, SCGP is also there. Packages by SCGP are designed structurally and aesthetically to add value to products and benefits to consumers. “Last but not least, our exhibition highlights SCGP’s focus on innovate and sustainability. We provide not just packaging but better quality of life. The tunnel presents SCGP growth and boosts investors’ confidence. Because we are parts of consumers’ daily life, we have solid potential and operate sustainable businesses.” Every Square Inch is a Challenge It was not easy to design an exhibition that spanned over more than 1,000 square meters with clear-cut concept. Yet, the team behind the exhibition feels proud about beating obstacles along the way. “Overscale Landmarks in front of the exhibition were designed to showcase our designers’ talents as well as paper potential. These landmarks are huge and match well with the size of the exhibition. More than 10 staff helped assemble each piece.” “Another challenge was Social Distancing. It was necessary to deliver an interesting message within a short time for each booth to ensure it would not be crowded. It was also very challenging to manage staff and time in the face of tight deadline and uncertain situation. “During preparatory stage, we did not know what would actually happen in the face of the fast-changing COVID-19 situation. We were not sure if we would have to hold just a virtual exhibition. But we made sure we were well prepared for any scenario. Finally, we got the confirmation that a real exhibition could take place just three days in advance and we managed to go ahead with the hybrid event. All were arranged within a budget too.” Growth Mindset: Key to Success The team’s Key to Success is its “Growth Mindset”. “The situation kept changing. But we simply considered uncertainties a challenge, something we had to deal with and find a solution. We have never given up because we have had Growth Mindset. We know we need to be flexible and adaptive. We do our best in all circumstances. “Collaboration and Teamwork are key ingredients for our success. With shared goal, empathy, and respect for one another, we have achieved synergy. We support one another along the way for our success. “Even though the exhibition mission has so many obstacles, it has benefited us. At the end of the mission, we have realized that we have strengthened our Growth Mindset and become well ready to turn every challenge into a success. We also feel proud of ourselves and grateful to everyone who has supported us. With SCGP IPO Roadshow, we truly prosper alongside SCGP.” Related Contents Loading Data…
Unlimited Solutions through Innovative Mindset
News Unlimited Solutions through Innovative Mindset Loading Data… Innovative mindset encourages learning and efforts to develop solutions. Thanks to such a mindset, great innovations like DOM (Detect Odor & Monitoring) have been created. Designed to detect odor at industrial plants, SCGP’s DOM has won the National Innovation Award in Service Design category this year. Now, let’s hear directly from the DOM team about its truly innovative mindset. “We believe DOM will support smooth business operations. In the past, odor problems had often been issues between factories and communities and there was no efficient device to check the odor. Our DOM has great accuracy. So, the device will detect odor even before it becomes an issue. “Our innovation responds to not just business purposes but also social and environmental care. It materializes because of our innovative mindset. We understand problems and seek to overcome any challenges in our keen pursuit of solutions. Innovative mindset will help any innovator. As for our team, we intend to constantly improve our DOM so that it becomes widely used for good causes.” Dr. Thipnakarin Boonfueng – Senior Researcher / Environmental Technology Specialist, Product & Technology Development Center “We started developing DOM because of odor at our plant. “Aware of the odor, our plant had used various odor-detection products before but they had failed to completely eradicate the problem. However, our comprehensive research and serious development have made a difference. Our DOM can detect odor, monitor it, and even assess its impacts. “One big challenge in DOM development is that factories have different kinds of odor. To ensure efficiency, we study the problem case by case. We adapt and adjust fast to provide each of our customers with the best DOM.” Mr. Wuttinan Lerkmangkor – Researcher, Product & Technology Development Center Related Contents Loading Data…

DOM : Detect Odor and Monitoring
ข่าว DOM : Detect Odor and Monitoring Loading Data… “It is easy to notice odor but difficult to measure it.” Industrial plants thus have a challenging task of preventing their odor from polluting local communities. SCGP has developed DOM (Detect Odor & Monitoring) to help factories tackle this specific challenge. Detecting odor with great efficiency, this innovation has won the National Innovation Awards 2020 in the Service Design category and has promised to be friendly to the environment. Equipped with both software and hardware, DOM detects and monitors odor for efficient analyzes and management. Its monitoring system uses sensors, which accept customized settings, to check the intensity of undesirable odors of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, ethylene oxide, etc. It can even determine as to whether PM2.5 amount is above safe limit. Data is displayed real time on a dashboard in an easy-to-understand manner. DOM truly has positive social, business, and environmental impacts. DOM Service Odor Identify: What are typical odors at your site? Surveying the site and its odor – causing manufacturing spots; Collecting odor samples for chemical analyzes; and Assessing the intensity of odors by Odor Panelist and based on international-standard guideline Odor Monitoring System: Constant Monitoring at Your Site DOM checks the intensity of odor and sends data to DOM Web Platform for real-time display and database; Alerts are issued when odor intensity soars above specified limit; Assessing odor diffusion from sources in combination with weather and wind-direction data; and Data can be compared with complaints about odor time for improvement in the future. Odor Impact Assessment: What are odor impacts? Displaying odor impacts; Analyzing the sources of main odors and time of odor emissions, which are prone to trigger complaints; and Assessing the feasibility of odor-reduction options เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading Data…

News DATA | SYSTEM | COLLABORATIONGetting Stronger & Moving Forward Together Loading Data… The new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has challenged every sector in society in recent months. Despite the severity of the situation, the business sector has refused to bow down. All enterprises have been trying to adjust themselves to COVID-19 impacts so as to keep their business going. At SCG Packaging Committee on COVID-19 situation has played a vital role in managing the crisis. Members of humankind have reckoned that COVID-19 is “the toughest crisis they have ever seen.” Structure of the Committee on COVID-19 SituationThis committee is composed of representatives from all lines of SCG Packaging, including overseas-based units. These representatives have come together to formulate the best guideline and communicate it to staff in their teams, business partners, and customers for the goal of ensuring business continuity.Mr. Twatchai Wongpaisarn serves as the chair of the Committee. According to him, SCG Packaging has set up Business Continuity Management (BCM) system since 2011 so as to boost preparedness to deal with possible crises such as natural disasters, terrorism, and disruptive political demonstration. In the past, crises affected just specific areas. But this time, COVID-19 outbreak has spread all over the world.“Since the onset of the outbreak, our CEO has issued a clear direction that People Come First,” Mr. Twatchai reveals.“People” are Top PrioritySince 2011, BCM system has established the Business Management Team (BMT) and Local Management Teams (LMT) to make necessary preparations and conduct exercises every year.“Because we have a clear-cut system in place, we only need to activate it during COVID-19 crisis,” Mr. Opart Rakkulchon says.“When our assessment suggested our people at our business place in Jakarta had a high risk of contracting the disease, we recalled them to ensure their safety. And thanks to IT support, we can still keep our business running.”Rules of “4Cs”“The first C is Care. We care for our employees, business partners, society, communities, customers, and stakeholders. The second C is Control. We prescribe clear measures to control the situation and manage risks. The third C is Contingency. It is about assessing the situation and planning to deal with what will be coming in advance in order for our businesses to go ahead. The last C is Communication. Leaders must act like ones especially in unusual situations. When you manage a crisis, you need the sense of urgency with care,” says Mr. Twatchai. He explains that with clear directions, local leaders at over 40 work sites of SCG Packaging can apply the rules to their context with support from his work panel for business continuity.Great FactorsDuring such crisis, SCG Packaging has learnt that the following three factors are very important:1. Fact and Data: Mr. Thanathorn Sitthipol reveals that an internal alert was issued ever since COVID-19 started spreading in Wuhan. When the outbreak in Wuhan widened, more meetings were held to assess the situation and roll out necessary measures such as screenings of people going into/out of the firm’s buildings, guidelines on how to transport persons suspected of having COVID-19, alternative shifts at offices for staff, and work systems over virtual private networks (VPNs). SCG Packaging ranks among the first companies to have implemented “Work from Home” mode.2. System: Thanks to great infrastructure and solid IT support, SCG Packaging has successfully introduced work system over VPN during the crisis. Because there is a clear system of what to do, the firm can just activate the system to swing into action.3. Collaboration: As all factories gave full cooperation, preparations for SCG Packaging to secure business continuity during the COVID-19 crisis took just one week. Mr. Thanachai Phuthanadee says that the quick preparations impressively underline SCG Packaging’s strengths.Ms. Lamai Chintananusorn says leaders’ emphasis on BCM is also behind such impressive results.**Box**Mr. Twatchai WongpaisarnDirector – Sustainability Productivity & Innovation Management“It is important to set clear direction and walk the talk. This way, team members will get the message and move toward the same direction.”Mr. Opart RakkulchonCorporate Human Resources Director“Before COVID-19, we used to believe that our people were well ready for any situation. But this pandemic has made us realize that there is still room for improvements. The good thing is that our people are now stronger, more flexible, and more prepared to deal with whatever will come.”Mr. Thanachai PhuthanadeeInformation Technology Manager“We need to look ahead and make preparations. If we are not prepared, we will be in trouble when a crisis strikes.”Mr. Thanathorn SitthipolAssistant Manager – Emergency Response Management“We are fortunate to have had great teams. For example, our HR team takes good care of staff’s health. Our engineering team gives useful advice on ventilation system. Our R&D team advises on UV disinfection and has developed paper-based personal protective equipment for medical workers too. Together, we will go a long way.”Ms. Lamai ChintananusornAssistant Manager – Business Continuity Management“We have strong leadership at local levels.
