This not only helps reduce environmental waste by making the most valuable use of recycled resources, but also helps reduce energy consumption from producing new plastic. SCGP has collaborated with Dow Thailand and Saint-Gobain Weber to launch an innovative ‘eco-friendly tile adhesive bag’ that uses up to 10% Post-Consumer Recycled Resin (PCR) in its production. This involves bringing used plastic back into the recycling process and converting it into multi-grade plastic resin that can be used to produce various types of packaging, instead of being buried in landfills or scattered into the environment. The production of this tile adhesive bag helps reduce the use of new plastic by over 2.3 tons and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 2.8 tons per year. It is also manufactured according to strict international toxicology protocols, is safe for consumers, and has been officially certified to ISCC standards. Despite being a new material, the properties of the tile adhesive bag are as effective as traditional bags – maintaining transparency, beauty, strength, durability, moisture resistance, and excellent protection of the products inside. Most importantly, after use, it can be recycled for reuse. SCGP has always prioritized the environment by applying circular economy concepts to develop this new innovation. Social Media Library Trees, whether small or large, all have the power to absorb carbon dioxide. This is because every tree has a photosynthesis process that helps increase oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide to store it in the trunk, branches, leaves, and roots. When calculated, one tree can absorb an average of 9-15 kilograms of carbon dioxide per year and also helps capture PM 2.5 dust particles and pollutants at approximately 1.4 kilograms per year. The Forest Economics Office of the Royal Forest Department states that many plant species have exceptional abilities to absorb carbon dioxide. The more they grow and the longer they live, the more carbon dioxide they can absorb, such as:🌱Eucalyptus – 267 trees/rai, absorbs 3.15-6.09 tonCO₂e/year🌳Black Wattle – 178 trees/rai, absorbs 4.00-6.09 tonCO₂e/year🌿Mangrove – 711 trees/rai, absorbs 0.77-6.49 tonCO₂e/year🌴Oil Palm – 144 trees/rai, absorbs 2.49 tonCO₂e/year🌳Siamese Rosewood – 100 trees/rai, absorbs 1.36-2.16 tonCO₂e/year🪵Rubber Tree – 144 trees/rai, absorbs 4.22 tonCO₂e/year If we plant each tree species with quality and provide proper care until they grow abundantly, these trees will be able to store carbon dioxide even more efficiently, which serves as a great help for our world. Beyond absorbing carbon dioxide and purifying the air for our planet, planting trees also provides shade and habitat for animals large and small, serves as a food source, creates complete ecosystems, and helps prevent soil erosion, reduces storm winds, and prevents flooding. Take the Eucalyptus tree as an example – it’s one of the multipurpose plants where the more you plant, the better it is for the world. Eucalyptus leaves that fall from the tree become organic fertilizer that restores the soil, while the small but deep roots work together to prevent soil erosion and help soil retain water well.
