Social Media Library 🍃⚡️ January 26 marks the International Day of Clean Energy, established by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to raise global awareness of the importance of clean energy and to recognize the critical role of the business sector as a key driver in accelerating the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy systems. At SCGP, we are committed to advancing our Energy Transition strategy in a tangible and measurable way. Currently, 30% of our total energy consumption comes from renewable energy, driven by our efforts to increase renewable energy use, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and invest in technologies that enhance energy efficiency across our manufacturing operations, including: ☀️ Solar EnergySCGP has continuously adopted solar energy since 2018. By 2025, our total installed solar capacity will reach 75.8 MWp, covering Solar Rooftop, Solar Farm, and Solar Floating systems. These initiatives help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 9,330 tons of CO₂ equivalent per year. 🌴 Biomass EnergyWe actively research and develop biomass energy from agricultural residues such as sugarcane leaves, coconut fiber, palm fiber, and cassava rhizomes as alternatives to fossil fuels. By 2025, increased biomass utilization will contribute to a reduction of 749,285 tons of CO₂ equivalent per year. 💦 Biogas from Anaerobic Water TreatmentSCGP utilizes biogas generated from anaerobic wastewater treatment systems as a renewable energy source for boilers and lime kilns. This approach reduces energy consumption by 565,000 gigajoules per year and cuts greenhouse gas emissions by 53,000 tons of CO₂ equivalent annually. Reaffirming our leadership in Energy Transition, SCGP continues to turn commitment into action by transforming our energy systems—an essential lever for driving the industry toward a low-carbon society and advancing long-term sustainability for our planet. #SCGP #ESG #SCGPESG Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…

Go-Recycle
Social Media Library 🚚 At a time when sustainability is at the heart of business, SCGP continues to think beyond operations to care for the planet by reimagining how logistics can create value while supporting recycling. This idea comes to life through “Go-Recycle by Go-Pak”, a project that turns previously empty return trips into meaningful journeys. Instead of running back empty, delivery trucks collect used corrugated cardboard (OCC) from Go-Pak customers, supermarkets, and other suppliers across the UK. These materials are then sorted at SCGP’s facilities before being recycled at SCGP’s mills in Thailand and Vietnam—maximizing transport efficiency and minimizing waste. 📦 The collected paper is recycled into new paper and products, such as components for paper cups and Go-Pak’s packaging boxes. ♻️ In 2025, the project helped return more than 7,000 tons of materials into the recycling system. By making better use of return trips and energy resources, Go-Recycle has significantly increased recycling rates and demonstrated the power of the circular economy in action. The initiative stands as a strong example of how logistics infrastructure can be leveraged to create value for both business and the environment. SCGP plans to continue expanding this network, further strengthening sustainability across the entire value chain—while standing alongside customers and partners as a Sustainable Growth Partner. #SCGP #GROWTH #SCGPGROWTH Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…

Plant the trees to beat the heat
Social Media Library 🪴 December, recognized as World Soil Day Month, is a time to remind us that soil is the foundation of ecosystems. It is the source of food production and the starting point of sustainable quality of life for people around the world.Healthy soil directly affects crop productivity and national food security. Soil restoration is therefore a cornerstone of sustainable development, which is why many organizations and communities place strong emphasis on land conservation. One widely recognized model is the Khao Cha-ngum Land Rehabilitation Study Center under the Royal Initiative, a vital learning hub for restoring degraded land, water resources, and forests to ecological abundance. The center is guided by three key principles:🌱 Improving soil structure to support sustainable cultivation💧 Efficient water management🌳 Restoring forest areas to enhance biodiversity All of these efforts are grounded in the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, which emphasizes moderation, reasonableness, and resilience. This approach enables nature and communities to coexist sustainably, benefiting both people’s livelihoods and ecosystems in the long term. As such, the center serves as an important learning model for organizations seeking to develop sustainable green spaces. 🤝 SCGP, in collaboration with employees, government agencies, local communities from Nong Hin Khao Sung and Sa Setthi villages, and world-class golfers Ariya Jutanugarn, Moriya Jutanugarn, and Pajaree Anannarukarn, has joined forces in the “Plant the Trees to Beat the Heat” initiative to strengthen the balance and resilience of terrestrial ecosystems. With strong commitment, SCGP is ready to play a key role in nurturing biodiversity, fostering a mutually supportive relationship between people and forests, and restoring soil health—creating a valuable natural legacy for future generations. 📍 Discover more stories at 👉 https://sustainability.scgpackaging.com/en/environmental/forestry-and-biodiversity%E2%80%8B?fbclid=IwY2xjawO5tJ9leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFFUmdHbDFRY1R4Y2J1ZTBIc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHtU9r5p7ceFxV-3A4fmINdY5s6Q6_vX-accFQUf2VbsHXxBjaYOwVfh2DUgj_aem_Ye3gOina2m5bzuOMCFXxEw #SCGP #ESG #SCGPESG Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…
Circular Recycled Paper
Social Media Library The Circular Economy principle is a vital approach that supports environmental preservation while enabling sustainable business growth. At its core, it focuses on maximizing resource efficiency by keeping materials in use for as long as possible. SCGP has fully integrated this principle across its operations—from eco-design to recycling materials back into new raw materials for production. In 2025, 70% of SCGP’s total raw materials came from domestically recovered used paper, reflecting a strong commitment to resource circularity. 🤝 In 2025, the “Old for New” project by SCGP Recycle delivered remarkable results through collaboration with over 120 partner organizations. Together, they collected 1,650 tons of used paper, ensuring proper recycling and transforming waste into valuable resources. These efforts generated new products returned to society, with a total value exceeding THB 3.5 million. Many organizations have already played a key role in turning used paper into meaningful products, such as:📚 BITEC: Repurposed over 51 tons of paper waste from exhibitions into paper furniture, creating a “Library for Sustainability” for Wat Klang Bang Kachao School.📮 Thailand Post – “reBOX” Campaign: Collected used boxes and envelopes nationwide and recycled them into “Happiness-Connecting Postal Boxes” and furniture sets, donated to vulnerable communities, Border Patrol Police schools, and hospitals. In addition, leading organizations—including Central Group, MBK, Daikin (Thailand), EssilorLuxottica, Thai Coconut, Premier Marketing, ISUZU, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, as well as hospital networks such as Paolo Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, Vimut Hospital, and hotel groups under The Erawan Group—have joined the initiative by exchanging paper waste for recycled products and reusing them within their organizations. This project clearly demonstrates that the success of the Circular Economy is driven by the power of collaboration, which amplifies positive impact and creates tangible outcomes. We invite everyone to be part of this collective effort—because caring for the environment is a shared responsibility. #SCGP #ESG #SCGPESG #CircularEconomy Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…
