‘Water’ is a natural resource that is vital to life and the environment of the world. In 1993, the United Nations designated March 22 of every year as ‘World Water Day’ to remind us all of the value of water resources that are beginning to diminish.

For 2025, the United Nations is focusing on ‘Glacier Preservation’ because global warming is causing mountains and glaciers to melt faster than ever before, affecting the world’s ecosystems and impacting us.

SCGP recognizes the effects of climate change and is committed to sustainable water management. This has led to a mission to conserve water for the planet following the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), as well as the restoration of natural water sources in communities surrounding factory areas, which creates tangible positive impacts.

Throughout 2024, SCGP’s focus on the 3R principle has created significant changes, with operational results that reduced water withdrawal by 27.3%, increased the proportion of recycled water at 15.7%, and built 1,263 water retardant dams to restore water sources for communities.

On this World Water Day 2025, SCGP invites everyone to join forces in protecting and preserving water resources to ensure our world remains sustainable.
