Social Media Library October 1st is International Day of Older Persons, declared by the United Nations to raise awareness of the value and potential of older persons, while promoting their rights, well-being, and equal participation. For 2025, the United Nations has set the theme as “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights” to emphasize that older persons continue to play important roles in driving communities and society, while also focusing on health, safety, and sustainability. Thailand has entered a ‘complete aged society’ in 2024, as the population aged 60 and above exceeds 20% of the total population. Given that most older persons are in good health, have the physical capacity to work, and want to live quality lives, SCGP wishes to be part of driving the power of older persons through various projects and innovations as follows: 🥩 1. Packaging Design – Fest Portion Pak, a paper tray for chilled food with compartments, suitable for older persons living alone or in pairs. It can be divided by meal, helping reduce food waste and making life more convenient and safer.🧴 2. SCGP Packaging Speak Out – In 2023, SCGP opened opportunities for younger generations to submit packaging design entries for older persons under the theme ‘Packaging for Seniors’ to create understanding between different age groups and develop innovations that improve the quality of life for older persons.🧺 3. Social Enterprise Support – SCGP invites older persons in each community to upcycle ‘Paper Band’, waste from paper factories, into woven crafts that create new value, becoming products that generate sustainable income for older persons to be self-reliant. On this International Day of Older Persons, SCGP wishes to be another force ready to support the empowerment of older persons to have better quality of life in all aspects – health, safety, living conditions, and environment – to jointly create a balanced and sustainable society for everyone. #SCGP #ESG #SCGPESG #วันผู้สูงอายุสากล #InternationalDayOfOlderPersons Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…

Packaging Trends SCGP
Social Media Library Modern packaging must be thoughtfully creative to address all consumer requirements. Therefore, manufacturers need to carefully consider multiple factors in their design process. SCGP would like to share interesting packaging design trends from the ‘Packaging Speak Out 2025’ held in Vietnam! This event featured two expert speakers: Mr. Sumeth Boonyathanapan, Manager – SCGP Inspired Studio and Packaging Solutions, and Mr. Danh Trần, Vice President of VDAS Design Association and founder of VMARK. They shared practical approaches and case studies on designing connections between concepts, brands, and users, resulting in four interesting conclusions: 1. 👨👩👦 Understanding Multi-Generational Consumers Consumers from different generations have varying preferences and needs. For example, Gen Z emphasizes uniqueness and environmental friendliness, while Gen Y prioritizes simple, functional design. Therefore, packaging design should connect with each age group by starting with consumer behavior studies. Additionally, usability must be considered from opening, holding, and storing to post-use management, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality. 2. 🥮 Cultural Connection Incorporating local culture into design is one way to connect with people across different age groups. It also adds value to packaging by being filled with identity, pride, and honoring local values. For example, moon cake packaging in Vietnam uses traditional patterns and local symbols, incorporating product-related stories that help deepen connections and create bonds with consumers. 3. 🚀 Designing for the Future with Two ApproachesApproach 1: CARE / SHIFT / VALUECARE: Caring for the world by using resources wisely and being environmentally friendlySHIFT: Adapting to consumers by designing according to changing lifestyles and needsVALUE: Creating value and credibility by communicating with sincerity and honesty for consumer recognitionApproach 2: The 3G ModelGREEN: Environmentally friendly – choosing biodegradable materials, easy to recycle, or locally sourced materialsGENUINE: Sincere and promoting cultural identity – must be transparent, honest to consumers, and convey local identity through designGRAVITATE: Attractive – creating outstanding work that provides good consumer experiences from start to finish 4. ♻️ Sustainability as Standard Designing for sustainability helps meet consumer expectations, comply with regulations, and enhance brand value. It also creates long-term relationships with the world and users. These four trends from expert perspectives in both Vietnam and Thailand demonstrate that good packaging must serve as a comprehensive and optimal connection point between brands, consumers, and the environment. #SCGP #Innovation #SCGPINNO Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…

Nature Climate Solutions
Social Media Library 🌏 Amidst climate change, collective efforts will determine a sustainable future.SCGP has set a goal to move forward toward Net Zero, reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. One of the key approaches is solving problems through ‘Nature Climate Solutions (NCS)’ – using nature to help address climate change by sustainably increasing carbon dioxide absorption through ‘trees.’ 🌱 In 2024, SCGP planted an additional 66,985 trees in both company areas and public spaces. When combined with the cumulative total from 2020-2024, this equals 2,350,269 million trees. 🤖 SCGP collaborates with CERT+ in using satellite data collection alongside AI to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide that can be stored in forest plantation areas. 🌳 SCGP’s forest plantation area in 2024 covers 66,621 rai and has been certified by SGS (Thailand) as capable of storing up to 270,228 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. Additionally, SCGP adheres to the principle of not destroying forests in the supply chain, with all virgin pulp coming from planted forest areas. SCGP is committed to creating a balance between production and systematic environmental care, emphasizing efficient energy use, waste reduction, and water reduction in production processes, alongside developing environmentally friendly packaging. #SCGP #ESG #SCGPESG Back to เนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง Loading…
