On October 5, 2020, SCGP represented by Dr. Pongsuda Pongtanya, Director – Product & Technology Development Center, together with Dr. Thipnakarin Boonfueng, Senior Researcher won the National Innovation Awards 2020 in the category of Product and Service Design from “Detect Odor & Monitoring (DOM)”, a complete odor detection and monitoring system. Mr. Don Pramudwinai Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs granted the award.

Detect Odor & Monitoring (DOM) is a total solution for odor monitoring services. It can identify and assess impacts of the odors from their main contribution sources. Its function includes real-time monitoring of odors, gases, and air pollution. The results and daily weather conditions will be analyzed together and visualized in the convenient and easily accessible DOM web platform. The system can send a warning message, alarming when there is a potential risk of odor nuisance problem. With the machine learning applied to create a database for odor identification, DOM web platform  can more accurately and quickly process and analyze information in the future.

This is the second time that SCGP received the Winning prize in the National Innovation Awards. The first time was in 2010 winning in the category of Economic contribution from “TextPro”, printing paper for textbooks. The awards demonstrate SCGP’s commitment to continuously conduct research and create innovations for better products and services in order to serve the needs of all customers, and sustainably contribute to community and society.
