We all share ‘one world,’ and everyone depends on air, water, and natural resources to survive. Therefore, prioritizing nature is something everyone must always be mindful of. SCGP is committed to creating a Net Positive Impact by prioritizing ecosystems and sustainable use of natural resources, so that nature not only recovers but can grow and pass on value to future generations in a balanced way.
One key approach, ‘forest conservation,’ is a powerful natural mechanism for carbon dioxide sequestration. We are therefore dedicated to caring for forest areas with internationally certified standards, whether it’s preserving biodiversity, controlling environmental impacts, or using resources transparently and efficiently.
Today, the forest areas under SCGP’s care have received international standard certifications totaling 50,399 rai, divided into 31,807 rai of SCGP’s own woodlands and another 18,592 rai belonging to partner farmers. Additionally, we have allocated at least 10% of the area for biodiversity conservation to maintain ecosystem balance. We not only care for these forests but also develop a deep understanding of them through collaboration between researchers and local communities.
SCGP has also implemented CERT+ technology, which combines satellite data with artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor forest conditions and measure the amount of carbon dioxide that can be sequestered, to plan the most efficient long-term natural resource management.
Finally, we continue to believe that the decision to restore nature will be the beginning of ‘better quality of life for the world’ tomorrow, and SCGP is ready to continue on this path, to be another force in creating a sustainable future together.
