The Circular Economy principle is a vital approach that supports environmental preservation while enabling sustainable business growth. At its core, it focuses on maximizing resource efficiency by keeping materials in use for as long as possible.
SCGP has fully integrated this principle across its operations—from eco-design to recycling materials back into new raw materials for production. In 2025, 70% of SCGP’s total raw materials came from domestically recovered used paper, reflecting a strong commitment to resource circularity.
🤝 In 2025, the “Old for New” project by SCGP Recycle delivered remarkable results through collaboration with over 120 partner organizations. Together, they collected 1,650 tons of used paper, ensuring proper recycling and transforming waste into valuable resources. These efforts generated new products returned to society, with a total value exceeding THB 3.5 million.
Many organizations have already played a key role in turning used paper into meaningful products, such as:
📚 BITEC: Repurposed over 51 tons of paper waste from exhibitions into paper furniture, creating a “Library for Sustainability” for Wat Klang Bang Kachao School.
📮 Thailand Post – “reBOX” Campaign: Collected used boxes and envelopes nationwide and recycled them into “Happiness-Connecting Postal Boxes” and furniture sets, donated to vulnerable communities, Border Patrol Police schools, and hospitals.
In addition, leading organizations—including Central Group, MBK, Daikin (Thailand), EssilorLuxottica, Thai Coconut, Premier Marketing, ISUZU, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, as well as hospital networks such as Paolo Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, Vimut Hospital, and hotel groups under The Erawan Group—have joined the initiative by exchanging paper waste for recycled products and reusing them within their organizations.
This project clearly demonstrates that the success of the Circular Economy is driven by the power of collaboration, which amplifies positive impact and creates tangible outcomes. We invite everyone to be part of this collective effort—because caring for the environment is a shared responsibility.
