Global warming and the current climate crisis have led businesses to seek tools that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions as efficiently as possible. AI, in particular, has become a crucial tool in driving the goal of rapidly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

SCGP has implemented AI and Machine Learning in paper mills, resulting in energy savings and reductions, as well as helping to decrease greenhouse gas emissions, including:

1️⃣Reducing steam energy consumption in the production process through a Realtime Monitoring & Control Platform by monitoring operational status in real-time and using Machine Learning to analyze data, identify issues, and prioritize various processes. This enables continuous maintenance of optimal machine performance and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 68,000 tons of CO2 equivalent per year.

2️⃣Process Steam Optimization by using Machine Learning and AI to calculate the appropriate steam pressure for each type of paper production process, resulting in efficient steam usage while maintaining production quality. This helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 3,740 tons of CO2 equivalent per year.
