SCG Foundation and SCGP receive NIA Award for Designing Paper Bed for Mobile Med Units; Emphasizing Creativity, Functionality, and Inequality Reduction

The SCG Foundation has collaborated with students from the Certificate Course in Good Governance for Medical Executives, organized by the Foundation for Good Governance on Medicine, The Medical Council of Thailand, and SCGP. This partnership has continuously contributed to the medical and public health sectors. Most recently, they received the National Innovation Award of 2023 in the Social and Environmental categories for Organizations for Society and Community for their innovation “Innovative Paper Bed for Mobile Medical Units.” This innovation was co-created by the design team from SCGP, SCG Foundation, and students from the Certificate Course in Good Governance for Medical Executives. It builds upon the previous paper field beds used for COVID-19 patients, ensuring they are suitable, safe, and convenient for medical operations and patient services in mobile medical units.

The National Innovation Award, organized by the National Innovation Agency (NIA), is presented to honor and celebrate Thais who have created outstanding innovations that offer clear benefits to the country. For this competition, more than 300 organizations participated.
